I graduated with a first in Mathematics with Accounting from the University of Exeter and completed a year of teaching secondary school mathematics in Bristol before joining Expand. This new challenge at Expand has allowed me to gain soft skills through client exposure and leverage my problem-solving skills and ability to pay attention to detail, all while working in a data insights company. From day one, the most rewarding aspect has been the people—everyone is welcoming and easy to get along with, making it a truly positive experience.

A typical day involves ensuring my team and I are aligned on responsibilities, planning and strategizing with a wider team, and focusing on a variety of tasks. This ranges from creating and presenting client debriefs, addressing client questions about their data, to manipulating data for insights using programs such as SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or Excel.

Currently, I am working on the ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI), which drives convergence around meaningful ESG metrics for the private equity industry. This project has been particularly exciting due to its rapid growth over the past few years.
