I joined BCG Expand during my master’s at Imperial, initially as part of a work placement, after previously interning at PwC and JLL. I was keen to gain more practical experience alongside my studies, and Expand stood out because of its benchmarking work across global financial institutions. The chance to work with real data and understand how banks structure their technology and operations functions made it an easy decision.

In my role, I focus on analysing how banks structure and resource their operations functions, from IT and operations spend to location strategy and cost models. Much of the work starts with large datasets that need to be cleaned and structured before we can generate meaningful peer comparisons. Over time, I’ve developed stronger analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in turning complex data into insights that clients can use. Alongside case work, I also support regional go-to-market initiatives and am part of the BCG AI Champions network, where I’m helping to develop a lead-scoring tool for the sales team.
