Lead Analyst: Asset Management (India)

Job description

BCG Expand is seeking a Lead Analyst to help support and drive a large, growing book of work aligned to the Asset Management sector. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to model updates, revenue growth, and innovation within the Asset Management domain and ensure successful project completion with experience and flexibility.

The successful candidate will drive the execution and enhancement of proprietary assets—including market sizing models, benchmarking tools, diagnostic frameworks, and simulation models—while also contributing to the development of new offerings and methodologies. A core part of the role involves engaging with clients to support senior management in making strategic, data-driven decisions.

The Lead Analyst will work with global and local teams to deliver insights for BCG case teams and direct-to-client (D2C) projects, leveraging proprietary assets and diverse data sources. This includes understanding client needs, designing tailored solutions, and driving impact through rigorous analysis. We are looking for a proactive, curious, and detail-oriented individual—an articulate, systematic problem solver—who will play a key role in the Asset and Wealth Management Practice Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of data analysis programs by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing large qualitative and quantitative datasets to update proprietary models and tools
  • Interpreting market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and uncover emerging opportunities for clients
  • Leading client and internal meetings effectively; addressing client questions/queries using data and content expertise
  • Understanding client needs and delivering tailored, insight-driven solutions through proprietary tools, rigorous analysis, and customized reports or presentations
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and meeting project timelines
  • Driving new ideas with limited guidance and working independently

While oversight is provided by senior team members, Expand’s culture emphasizes personal ownership at every stage. Lead Analysts play a central role across the delivery lifecycle—from supporting sales, data collection, analysis, visualisation, to communication of findings—offering diversity and skill development. You will engage directly with clients, often at the C-level.

We are seeking a proactive, curious, and diligent individual—an analytical and articulate problem solver—who will lead the analysis delivery process. The role involves rapid learning and offers opportunities for internal progression.
