Lead Analyst: Wealth Management (UK)

Job description

BCG Expand is seeking a Lead Analyst to help support and drive a large, growing book of work aligned to the Wealth Management sector. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to revenue growth and innovation in their domain, ensuring successful completion of projects with experience and flexibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic decision support for our clients through Expand’s syndicated benchmarking and market research in the Wealth Management industry, providing support and content expertise. This role includes detailed discussions with clients, strategic case work, building storylines, detailed data benchmarking, and developing new offerings and methodologies. A core part of the role involves engaging with clients to support senior management in making strategic, data-driven decisions. You will also play a key role in Expand-hosted community forums, facilitating peer-to-peer discussions and sharing industry best practices.

We are looking for a proactive, curious, and diligent individual—an articulate problem solver with a strong analytical mindset and a deep passion for data—who will play a key role in the GWM Practice Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working on direct-to-client as well as strategic pieces with BCG clients
  • Spearheading the analysis delivery process by collecting, analysing, and synthesising large qualitative and quantitative datasets to update proprietary models and tools
  • Interpreting market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and uncover emerging opportunities for clients
  • Leading client and internal meetings effectively; addressing client questions and queries using data and content expertise
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and on-time project delivery
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other practice areas across Expand

While oversight is provided by senior team members, Expand’s culture emphasises personal ownership at every stage of an employee’s career. Lead Analysts play a central role in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle—from supporting sales to data collection, analysis, visualisation, and communication of findings—offering diverse opportunities and broad skill development. You will gain high levels of direct client exposure, often reaching C-level executives.

The role requires fast learning and the ability to quickly deepen your business knowledge, with significant potential for internal progression.
